Hi there! I’m Zac, a U.S.-based lawyer, executive, and maker.
Professional
On the professional side, I’m an experienced legal operator and full stack general counsel — think “generalist,” but with a lot more depth. (A few examples: I’m also a Certified Information Privacy Professional and Certified Information Privacy Manager; I’ve led companies through large complex fundraises, and occasionally speak on subjects as varied as keeping outside counsel litigation costs down and working effectively with the FDA.) I’d like to think I’m doing my law school (UChicago) proud: at its best, law school is almost entirely advanced coursework in using the heck out of your brain, and what I’ve come to specialize in is thinking and executing fast and well 🙂
I’m currently Head of Legal and Data Protection Officer at Levels, where I work on strategy, tackle all manner of tricky legal and regulatory issues, and help keep the lights on, so that we can continue to push toward solving the global metabolic health crisis. Levels is an amazing company — come work with us!

Personal
On the personal side, I currently live in Austin, Texas with my brilliant wife Abby, our cool-even-though-he’s-an-infant son Nathaniel, and our two German Shepherds, Batou and Esme.
